(i'm new!) but, veganese is the next step up moisture wise from coolaulin, right? i just took a shower with coolaulin - tried to use jungle first but wasn't patient enough to make a good paste since my little ones sleeping and i couldn't find the monitor :/ - and my hair isn't as soft and silky as i'd like.

i use soak and float as a shampoo. thank you guys! p.s i still plan on posting pictures of my bath the other night. gnome name (hannah snowtana) and lil lush pud - SOOO warming and relaxing and amazing.

So... reviews are good for the soul!

I thought that we could have a weekly review post.
It'd have a single product from each section (Bath, shower, hair, skin, etc), and we'd all write our reviews of it, what it's good for, anything bad about it, etc.
Information for people looking to try new things.
I'd be happy to run it, and select the products, not just stuff I've used of course, and retro in there eventually as well.

I'd be happy to do a memory page with links to each review, all sorted by section, and seasonal specials.

All we need is people willing to contribute.
Is this the kind of thing people would like?
If they went into the memories, it means people could easily access reviews to something they're thinking of trying out.

Shaving my underarms has always given me ingrown hairs and nasty rashes, and regular deodorants always make it irritated and burny, so I'm thinking of trying out some Lush stuff to alternatively prevent/heal my shaving irritation and ingrown hairs, as well as something as a deodorant. I'm going to try some stuff I'm more familiar with before the Lush deos though, since a lot of people with sensitive skin seem to have trouble with them.

I have Vanilla Puff powder and have tried that a few times, but once I start to sweat it wears off right away. I have a massage bar (Shimmy Shimmy) and tried using that, just to see how it would feel (also, lol, sparkly underarms). It's nice and moisturizing and makes my skin feel soft, but it only masks smell a little.

Would it be worth a shot to use a massage bar, then dusting powder over it? Has anyone tried this as a deodorizer? What massage bars do you think would work well for this?

Any other products people use in place of a deodorant?

Also, what can I use to help heal shaving irritation and ingrown hairs? I tried using Cosmetic Lad on my underarms and it didn't do much, should I go for Dream Cream?

ETA: I think what I typed about massage bars was kind of confusing - I meant using a massage bar to moisturizing/soothe my skin, and use a dusting power over top of it to act as a deodorant (and hopefully the massage bar would make the powder last longer, since most of the time it just seems to wear off)

Since it's Saturday night and I can't go out because one of my wisdom teeth is popping through and my face is in enormous amounts of pain, I have nothing better to do than to post some reviews of Lush products I've been using. I'm fairly new to Lush; I bought the Marilyn hair treatment at the recommendation of a friend a couple months ago, and ever since then I've been slowly converting all my beauty products to Lush. Alot of these are samples, as I have a friend that works in the store and always loads me up with em.

FYI, I'll be reviewing hair and skin stuff, my skin is normal/combo, oily nose, slight redness on cheeks and nose. My hair is a platinum blonde pixie cut, and is pretty dry from all the damage/experiments when I was in beauty school. ;)

Anyways, feel free to tell me what you think of these products, or if you've never used them and want to know more, ask!

Onward! )

Has anyone been having problems with the LUSH uk website? I've been trying to order for 2 days and I keep randomly getting "Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage". I thought it might be my computer but my boyfriend just checked it on his computer at work and it didn't work there either.

It's always when I try to check out or login, and then randomly happens when I try to look at certain products.

So frustrating! I've got a huge list, I'm ready to spend some money! lol.

So i know i've said before that i used a sample of gorgeous from the mohegan sun casino store in connecticut, and it did wonders for my skin, so i bought gorgeous from the UK since it's cheaper. i purchased it about a month and a half ago. i noticed that when i got it, it didn't appear to be very full, in fact i'd say it was about half full, but other than that i saw nothing really wrong with it. lately i've been noticing a pimple here and there, and my t-zone has been getting shiney, which never happened with my sample pots.
finally i took it to the mohegan store on my way in to work, and showed it to the girls there. they sniffed it and said "THIS IS NOT GORGEOUS!" it was yellow in color and smelled very strange. i think it smelled almost like smitten but i could be mistaken.

i was very happy when they handed me a brand-new pot of gorgeous, that looked and smelled like it should have. i was also very happy how easy it was to get my issue fixed. i work in retail and often times people will come in claiming something happened to their product i know is false, so it's nice to know i wasn't crazy with my assumption that something was wrong.

after using it last night i woke up and my skin was nice and matte like it should be, not oily at all =]

thanks mohegan ladies!

Hi everyone!

I'm looking at dying my hair soon, non-natural colours. I'm wondering about a shampoo bar and conditioner that won't strip the colour.
I'm really clueless about what chemicals strip colour so I can't just go through the ingredients.
Also I'm on oramorph (pretty much heroin) for pain, and it's drying my hair out horribly. Also I'm finding my hair's falling out a little with the morphine.

So I need something that won't strip the colour and will also really moisturise my hair which will also help with any dye damage.

I've not used any shampoo bars or conditioners from lush yet so I'm new to all of this!
I love the look of that sea one as it has tons of jasmine and I adore jasmine!

I've read a lot of things where people use oils in there hair to treat it well as well. Does lush do anything like that? I am keeping my hair short whilst I'm on the morphine as it doesn't grow well and is rather unhealthy thanks to the morphine. But once I'm off that and my hair's healthy again I intend on going very long. And I read about these oils in the long hair community.

Sorry for being so useless!
Thanks for any help. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference with the products available and I'm planning a lush trip on monday. Yay!

Also... Does anyone else miss youki hi like I do? I was wondering if there were enough of us to get it into retro on the online store.
